With the holiday season just around the corner, all of us can’t wait to start decorating for the season. For me, it all started with my sister’s new wall and our own flag. I wanted to hang our own flag on the top of her wall, so I started putting together a collection of items to make an afghan. I started with the flag itself, a plain flag which was not too intimidating.
When I started putting together the collection, I found out that the afghan’s design was based entirely on the flag of Afghanistan. It was pretty easy to find, so I just started by creating a pattern out of it. I then started laying the afghan out on the table to let it rest. Now I’m just waiting for it to dry, and I’m hoping for a good start to the new year.
This is the same idea behind the great white. I use it for a similar purpose though I’m using this one to create a new flag for a new project we are working on. I’m hoping to get it done by the end of the year.
I like the idea of using the Afghanistan flag for a new project. I would have liked to do something like this myself, but somehow I lost the flag and was stuck with the afghan. Now Im going to have to hunt down one and start a new project.
I’m hoping that you are able to work from your own memory. It would be a cool thing to do but I think that it would be impossible. I would have to start over and make it all new. I don’t think I have enough to know all that I would need to learn about the Afghanistan flag. I’m going to hold off on making a flag for this project until I know what I would need.
